I've always wanted to travel more -- see and experience new places. For various reasons, that hasn't happened. The farthest I've ever been away from home was a weekend trip to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday back in 2002. Haven't set foot on an airplane since. But if and when I get an opportunity someday to go somewhere, it'll be to New York City. Not for the Statue of Liberty. Not for the Empire State Building. Not even for a game at Yankee Stadium. I wanna go to NYC to visit the Fifth Avenue Apple Store. It's the Apple Store of all Apple Stores. The company's flagship retail outlet. It's open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Because there's nothing like buying a MacBook Air at 2 in the morning on Christmas Eve. I want to stand in front of this architectural masterpiece. Ride its cylindrical elevator. And walk  the glass spiral staircase down to the store that's underground. The place  is such a wonder that a couple tied the knot there on Valentine's Day. Every Apple fan boy and aficionado should make the sojourn to NYC  to visit this majestic palace at least once in their life. I sure hope to someday. Once I get there, I'll probably never want to leave. It'll be total Apple nirvana. All the Macs, iPods, iPhones, iPads, and everything else I can stand. All sitting in their bolted-down glory begging to be fondled and played with. It's a three-floored pleasure palace for tech geeks. But, until I get a chance to make the pilgrimage, I'll just lust over this photo gallery and dream.
