Jim Dalrymple is tired of all the corny Mountain Lion headlines:
In 2001 when Mac OS X was first released, it was forgivable. In 2012, it’s not only old, it’s just downright lazy. I’m talking about those pathetic headlines that Web sites use to usher in a new release of Apple’s operating system. You know the ones I’m talking about — “Mountain Lion roars” or “Mountain Lion leaps.”
I’m with The Beard on this. Besides, it isn’t right going from the biggest cat (Lion) to a smaller variety.
If I were a betting man, I’d wager 10.9 next year will (hopefully) be the last of the cat name OSes. Methinks Apple’s gone to the cat well once too often -- time to move on to another animal or just dump the monikers altogether.
