Facebook SDK 3.0 for iOS is Ready

MG Siegler has some good news regarding Facebook’s iOS app:

Objective-C-heavy SDK for iOS is ready to go. Probably safe to assume the Objective-C-heavy iOS app won’t be too far behind.

Siegler speculates that Facebook might unveil the new version next month at the rumored September 12 event. As someone who uses the Facebook app multiple times daily, there are not enough adjectives to describe how much I dislike it. It’s slow, doesn’t update information properly, and not very iOS-like. In layman’s terms, what this news means is that Facebook is working to rectify the issues I just mentioned. In fact, rumor has it that Facebook has a team of former Apple engineers working on the project.

My fingers are crossed they’re doing a good job.
